The Be3Dimensional Innovation Fund

Co-founded by Think2Thing and Ryerson University, the Be3Dimensional Innovation Fund was established to support Canada's greatest innovators who are pushing the boundaries of 3D printing, scanning and modelling technologies through application in art, medicine, manufacturing, engineering, fashion and design.

Two inaugural recipients (Be3D Innovation Fund in Visual Arts) each received a maximum of $50,000 to create their works using 3D technologies.

The inaugural Be3Dimensional Innovation Fund grants were awarded in the arts category. Two Canadian artists who are breaking new ground using 3D printing technology were selected by The National Gallery of Canada and the Ryerson Image Centre to be the first recipients of the grants

The initial grant was made possible by generous donations from Ryerson University, the Brookfield Institute for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and Mr. Sabi Marwah.

On the heels of the inaugural Be3Dimensional Innovation Fund
in Art, Be3D has established a second fund in Fashion.

This fund awards a Canadian designer $50,000 to create new works using 3D technologies.

The winner of the Be3Dimensional Innovation Fund in Fashion was carefully selected by a "Fashion Jury", Chaired by Toronto’s own Jeanne Beker.
